To Rick Rack or Not to Rick Rack

This is my first post and I am a little overwhelmed because I don't know where to start.  I consider myself having multiple personalities when it comes to crafting.  I have my hands in so many things.  So, I decided to start where I am today, and that is sewing for my one year old daughter while she is at my feet trying to push the sewing pedal.
So, after working for a couple of hours while watching Harry Potter (one of my go-to movies when sewing), now I have to decide whether to rick rack or not to rick rack.  Because of this major deli-ma, Rori won't be wearing a new dress tomorrow.  :(
She'll just have to wear one of the dresses I've already finished.  This dress wasn't finished recently.  I actually sewed it last year, but it was way too big for her then.

  2. I have the same pattern and want to make it for my granddaughter. She is 10 months old and weighs 16 lbs. What size should I make? She wears about 9 months to 12 months. Thanks.

    1. This pattern is a little strange because the apex stays the same for all sizes. My daughter is 22 lbs, but she is very petite. I made it on the medium and it is still a little big for her. I had to attach the buttons a little lower than called for so that she could wear it now. I would probably go with the small for your granddaughter. I will post pictures of her in it today as soon as she wakes from her nap so that you can see.
